The Israeli Alzheimer’s Medical Center was founded in 1994 by the late Adv. Amotz Eliash to promote the welfare of patients suffering from dementia in Israel. Increased life expectancy in Western society has brought with it, inter alia, a rise in the number of patients suffering from dementia and Alzheimer’s disease. The number of patients suffering from the disease increases with age, reaching approximately 30% among people who are 85 years and older.
The Center offers dedicated nursing services (long- and short-term hospitalization) to people with varying degrees of function, a multipurpose day center for senior citizens, a psychogeriatric clinic and counseling, help call center and an array of services for patients in the community.
Aiming to promote the welfare of people suffering from Alzheimer’s Disease and other forms of dementia both at home and in the community, the Israeli Alzheimer’s Medical Center offers a complete range of personalized therapies to patients and their families.
The medical center is at the forefront in providing quality, professional and humane care, constantly striving for innovation and excellence.
As an integral part of its work, the Center disseminates information about Alzheimer’s disease by developing professional instructional and training programs, as well as studies in conjunction with some of the leading academic institutions both in Israel and around the world.
The Alzheimer’s Medical Center intends to remain a leader in Alzheimer’s treatment, and to serve as an example of excellence and quality for similar centers in Israel and around the world.
